Split Nipple Skin

Hi all --- Welp, another chapter for the Spoonie Saga.

So, finished RADs last year end of Oct. Developed Breast LE during treatments.

Been in LE PT since Nov 2018.

Then in July 2019 developed Nipple LE. Continued LE PT.

Nothing new introduced into the PT lineup since the Nipple LE.

Saw my PT this past Thurs, nipple was fine.

Just been doing the same PT that's been the norm since Nipple LE in summer.

Now this morning, my nipple hurt worse than usual. Took a look, and of course, my skin that connects the nipple to the areola is SPLITTING apart! (no blood or pus or signs of infection, just swollen, broken skin, red, and sorrrre).

Just wondering has anyone had this happen?????

What have you done if so?

I have a call into my LE PT. In the meantime, I am keeping it clean and compressed "gently" until I hear from her.

Just is so bizarre. Have not had something like this happen prior to this.

Is this anything I should be extra concerned about in regards to something other than LE? Recurrence? Etc?
