Just received my biopsy results. 2 masses in right breast both IDC. One is .4cm and the other is .2cm. Both grade I.They are ER+/PR+ at 3+ intensity but HER2 is 2+ and K167 is positive in 1% of tumor nuclei. Lymphovascular invasion, DCIS and LCIS were all reported as "not Identified". Calponin and P63 were both negative.

I'm trying to read and learn as much as I can about this new diagnosis but I meet with the surgical oncologist on Tuesday. Is it better to do a mastectomy or is a lumpectomy enough? A bit overwhelmed right now.

Thanks,

Luvadog

Everyone has their own thought process. You need to think it through, decide which you’d prefer, and then go with it. Most important is to be comfortable with your decision and not look back.

hello sweetie I was diagnosed at42 while making wedding plans for our 2nd marriages I thought bout lumpectomy cause I didn't want to go into new marriage with one breast but my wonderful fiance now husband said go for what docs suggest best for you. I went for mastectomy didn't wanna worry bout recurrence. Praise God I'm now a 25yr Survivor. Each are different but I'm glad I choose mastectomy. Idc stage2 0/3nodes 3mo chemo before and after Lmast got married then 7wks rads then Honeymoon and 5yrs on Tamoxifen
