Just wondering if anyone has benefited from taking a 3-week break from Arimidex to see if their SEs are from the medicine or from something else.

My wonderful BS just suggested this option to me at my last visit. (I have ALH and am monitored every 6 months by mammo/MRI.) Started tamoxifen for a year and then had to switch to Arimidex for almost 3 years. My SEs are insomnia, dry eye, neck pain, tinnitus (unrelenting), and lichen sclerosus. I didn't ask for the vacay. He just presented it to me and I'm happily stunned.

Then he said if my SEs go away, I can stop taking the med. If not, I go back and serve the full 5 years. I think he was thinking of my QoL

Anyone ever just stop and never go back?

Please chime in. And thanks!

Janey
