    wallycat, thanks for sharing. It's always interesting to get another perspective and as we know, medical knowledge/research changes our approach to issues constantly. What's good today is bad tomorrow, and then cycles around again. I'm also sure that Vit D by itself is not the total answer to osteoporosis, but a piece of the puzzle. More research desired!!     It might not be bone better, but higher (not megadoses!!) of Vit D seem to be more beneficial to our survival. It's all a balancing act. My MO checks my Vit D levels once a year, and I'm grateful. He believes that anything around 60 - 70 is good.

    This seems like big news, yet I haven't heard this. I wonder if there's been an empirical study.
