Well they have found something invasive
they have finally found something invasive. They found IDC in my right breast and also a very “mynute” amount in my axillary node. They have been thinking I have inflammatory breast cancer. Is this what they needed to prove this to be fact? I have all th other signs of IBC. Large are of breast with diffuse thickening, slight pinkness that made me fo get my first mammogram in the first place. Now what? I see the surgeon on the 3rf of September. Chemo before surgery correct

Missmom you need to ask for a copy of the pathology report. You still don't know for sure if the nurse wouldn't tell you if it was DCIS or IDC, just that it was "ductal carcinoma", and also said that they made a mistake telling you that your first biopsy was DCIS but it was really IDC. If that is true, that they gave you the wrong diagnosis after your first biopsy, you should run, not walk, to another medical facility.
DCIS is ductal carcinoma in situ and IDC is invasive ductal carcinoma. DCIS-MI is DCIS with microinvasion, which as you noted on the other thread sounds like a possibility based upon your description. They are all "ductal carcinoma". You need the pathology report to understand what you are dealing with.
As for IBC, as I said in the other thread, it is going to be entirely a judgement call on the part of your doctors because they haven't even attempted to pathologically confirm IBC. With just slight pinkness for 6 weeks that has been fading on it's own, instead of rapidly getting worse, I would trust your doctor's judgement. If your surgeon thinks you have IBC, they will insist on chemo before performing surgery and they should be discussing that with your oncologist.
I'm sorry that your medical personnel seem to be doing a great job of confusing you and giving you bad information.

the first biopsy the nurse said that I had DCIS solid with necrosis and this time just “ductal carcinoma. And just a very tiny amount in the axillary node...which Bessie commented on and was very helpful. Now, of it was very metastatic wouldn't that biopsy for, the Lymph show a lot of cancer cells and not just mynute. Sorry if I misspelled that. My breast has stayed exactly the same for 6 weeks. Yes it seems the redness has went down some. Tats what my mother thinks anyways. But what about the diffuse thickness on the mammogram and mri? Could it be just from the IDC? So many questions and I hate not having an answer and I'm constantly plopped with my face in the internet and on these boards and frankly when she told me it was node but only a very small amount I barely cared. I just don't think anything will phase me anymore. I plan on obtaining a copy of it. I checked my E chart online and they normally put everything right on that but it's not in there yet as the results just came back today. No they were correct the first time. I have the path report for that. It was solid DCIS with central necrosis. A lot of that but now only a lil IDC (as far as I know) but seems like the pathologist would have wrote infiltrating ductal carcinoma and not just ductal carcinoma. Who the heck knows. Te nurse was only reading what she seen on the report. As I said after the finding if the DCIS they sought for something more invasive that is causing the diffuse skin thickening on mamo. And I guess? They found it. Or maybe it could be microinvasion. I will post here when I get the final answer.

“they haven't even attempted to pathologically confirm IBC“
I asked for a lunch biopsy and guess he didn’t want to do it. Wanted to find something invasive besides DCIS. I was looking at the IBC network and it says a punch biopsy is performed to rule out IBC. I do remember his saying if they did a punch biopsy it could be hit or miss. Don’t matter just do the dang thing!
