I’m a month out from surgery, just diagnosed, and wondering if I should be building up my cardio and muscles before all this treatment starts. I’m not terribly active right now but I have at least 4-5 weeks to work on it. Maybe it will make things easier lstee

Yes, for sure. I had chemo first, and exercised a lot (except on some days when I felt really crappy). It also had a positive impact on my mental state. I had pretty easy recovery from BMX, perhaps, because I tried to be active and eat well while on chemo. Unfortunately, my reconstruction (implant under pectoral muscle) made me very weak in upper body. I'm still struggling to regain the strength, 1.5 years later.

But I'm so much better at running, hiking and other cardio activities than I was pre cancer.
