Why not abraxane rather than taxol?

A question - if active ingredient is the same and just a diligent is different why would not first choice of treatment be abraxane given lower incidence of side effects due to a friendlier diluent?

I would like to know as well, because after 2 cycles it turns out I'm allergic to Taxotere

according to another post, Abraxane is more expensive, so the insurance won't cover it unless they try the others first
