Can you get a benign lump in other breast after breast cancer

Hello, I had stage three breast cancer 13 years ago. Non genetic. I found a lump in my healthy breast. Question is ...can someone still get a benign lump in other breast years later after breast cancer. Waiting for a mamagram. Keeping calm.

I would love some feedback.

Yes, you absolutely can get a benign lump after a breast cancer diagnosis. I've had lots of benign cysts in the years since I was diagnosed.

Good luck. Hopefully this is something harmless like a cyst.

I've had so many cysts over the years. Some were large enough to feel, some were tiny. When i was younger, i would develop really big cysts. Since my BC diagnosis, they've ranged in size from tiny to about the size of a pea. Interestingly, while I could feel the larger ones, it was the tiniest that would cause pain. They say that cysts aren't common after menopause but I've had so many and I know quite a few other women who've had them too.

Hi Bessie, Thanks for sharing. What I have is very big. It's feel big and the doctor said it was big. I'm 51 and still getting my period. I had breast cancer at age 36 and took tomoxifen. I'm surprised I'm not fully in menopause yet.

Have you had biopsies of the cysts? I had my first Mammo 5 months post mastectomy, and they saw something. Waiting to see my surgeon
