BRCA1+ Diagnosed 2 Months Before Preventive BMX

Hi everyone. I was shocked to be informed today that my biopsy came back positive for IDC. At the moment of biopsy, I had been in the process of waiting for preventive mastectomy due to BRCA status. I am 43 Canadian (British Columbia) and mom of three. No receptor status or grade yet. The surgeon is getting me into OR asap and most likely the answers are coming post-op. Got my preop clinic & chest x-ray today.

I was reading some hereditary & high risk topics here, even before my diagnosis. Seems like extremely helpful & caring community, thank you guys for being so supportive to each other.

I know my chances to get triple negative beast are quite high. But still have some hope.. How long it took for your receptor status report to come back? My biopsy report came back in 3 days, but they did not report on receptors. Thank you!
