worried about IBC

I am a 30 year old momma of 3 kiddos 6, 4, and 1. I weaned from breastfeeding about two months ago, after about a month I noticed a pea sized lump in my breast then a few weeks later my whole right breast was red and my areola was darker than my other breast . I made an appointment to get a Mammo/ultrasound right away which all came back clear. They said my right breast was "dense" but no signs of cancer. (they put me on antibiotics that day) I insisted they do a biopsy and showed up to my appointment two days later and was there for three hours. They didn't end up doing it because the doctor didn't think the lump was cancerous he thought it was a milk duct full of bacteria.He scanned it for awhile and said he wouldn't be able to pierce it. Ive been making myself absolutely sick to my stomach about this. Did anyone get diagnosed with just redness and a nipple discoloration? I do think the red has gone down slightly but I still have a moon shaped redness under my nipple and my nipple color is still darker. Im back to see the breast surgeon on Tuesday. I have such anxiety from this, I can't eat, I can't sleep, I feel like I cannot breathe. the radiologist just seemed so sure this was not IBC. But Im not sure how anyone can be sure without a biopsy? any thoughts would be great!

IBC progresses rapidly, within hours and days. Give the antibiotics time to work, chances are these issues are related to your breastfeeding.
