I digestion and feels like something stuck in throat

After each of my treatments I have the feeling that something is stuck in my throat and severe indigestion. I take Metonia for nausea and my onco prescribed and antacid. Neither seem to be helped these symptoms. I also have tightness in my upper chest Amanda shoulders thinking it’s causes by the indigestion. My onco also thought it could be from the steroids. It seems like it is getting worse and then goes before my next treatment.

Not sure how it would relate, but what you’re describing sounds like an esophageal spasm. Maybe they could look into this as a possibility?

I had swallowing problems and was miserable. NP looked at my tongue and at the back of my throat and diagnosed it as thrush that had gone down my esophagus. She prescribed a swish and swallow Nystatin suspension and it was gone in a few days. I keep it on hand now and have used it a couple of times during my chemo.

omg I think you’re right! My onco prescribed the same stuff after my second treatment but I thought it was just for mouth sores and I didn’t use it all of the time! I will now for sure. Thank ho
