IBC Rashes
Hello Everyone!
Looking for some help badly. Since Feb 2019, I thought something was off with my right breast. I had ultrasound in March 2019 and everything was fine.
From mid- May 2019, I started having circular rashes / marks on my right breast just around areola (more visible only in yellow lights). I ended up seeing breast specialist in June. But she said it's nothing to worry about.
This morning I found that marks have increased, I can see more now. My right breast is always generally warmer than left. The skin feels different in those spots / marks than left breast. I dont see redness or swelling. It's more like thin brownish red lines.
My right nipple / breast is very tender, feels like burning & had pinching pain few times so far, I am closer to my periods (generally otherwise I am Not this tender). Nothing in my underarm. No dimples. I dont think I can upload picture in this thread.
I am seeing doctor next week. I just wanted to get some help, I am really worried. I have a 15 months old baby. It's freaking me out.
Really appreciate all your help. Thanks for taking your time to read my query as well.
(Edited to add background :
no family history, rashes / marks started by middle of May, my breasts are asymmetrical (right smaller), lumps on both underarms butt went away, the marks / rashes are itchy but goes away when I apply moisturizer or not wear bra, age 33, marks are increasing only towards my underarms side say like 4'o clock position on right breast).

a word of advice, it’s great to be proactive when it comes to your breasts but don’t google your symtoms. It makes it worse. I am going through the same thing. I too have a rash on almost half my breast that has not gone away or changed in 3 weeks which I think it’s a good sign it hasn’t changed. And if you’ve had it that long I doubt it’s anything but every body is different.

We are sorry you are having these symptoms. You are being very proactive, and glad you are seeing a doctor this week. Wish we had lots of words of wisdom, but keep us posted!

please get it checked as soon as possible if the antibiotics have not helped. Get the IBC ruled out and ask them for a MR

Hopefully you will be referred to a dermatologist and probably someone about health anxiety. I am sure they will advise that visiting cancer forums when you have health anxiety is the worst thing you should do. There are many forums that address anxiety and I think they might be more comforting to you than to come someplace where you are encouraged to keep insisting on looking for cancer when you have been told by medical people that you do not. Particularly IBC. If you had it in Feb. you would not still be searching for answers in August. It spreads very rapidly. Skin conditions are sometimes hard to treat especially when they aren't properly diagnosed.
Please take care of your anxiety and stay away from cancer sites. Anxiety is horrible.

so very true. I have severe health anxiety as well and here I am on a breast cancer forum. Anxiety is horrible. I agree.

I agree please stay away from the forums but just be safe and rule out anything with your doctors

Hello everyone!
Thanks a lot for all your responses. I saw my breast specialist yesterday. She again insisted the rashes are nothing sinister, just some skin condition / skin acting weird. She really said no need for biopsy or MRI.
To be safe, I have a follow-up in Oct mid again.
