Hi all!

My mom got one treatment of eribulin (halaven) 3 weeks ago. After this treatment, the docs found it in her brain and decided to no longer pursue treatment. My mom is now in hospice at home, but... she is STILL losing her hair! From the one treatment! And from what I have read, most people don't lose very much or it comes back quickly... I'm curious to hear your thoughts. She is trying to decide whether to shave it or not... fighting breast cancer for 8 years and never once had to shave, I'd hate to see her have to shave it off in her last few weeks.

Hi! I was told when I started Halaven that my hair would 'thin out' over time. And from the ladies on the Halaven thread that's what happens most of the time.,

But, well, I had a cold when I started the drug. The first cycle was a nightmare. I know they didn't overdose me but it sure as heck felt like they did. And two weeks after that my hair came out. Almost all of it. In two days. Back when I did ACT it took a while for my hair to fall out. Not this time. Gone within 24 hours.

So yes, her hair might come out. But it will grow back in, should there be time. Mine has grown back about 2 inches even though I'm still on Halaven.

I'm very sorry your Mom is in hospice. I wish you and her all the peace you can get.
