Titanium Clips Migrated and Were Surgically Removed

I had two titanium clips inserted 6 years ago. They never bothered me. Five months ago my scars became red and angry. The radiologist diagnosed a sebaceous cyst and said to take antibiotics and if that didn't improve things then to have the cyst surgically removed. After a few weeks I saw the surgeon. He said that it wasn't a cyst and was likely a suture that had been left inside.

I had surgery 2 weeks ago. The surgeon said that the redness was caused by the titanium clips that had migrated up and would eventually protrude through the skin. He removed them and I am healing. The surgeon said that he had never seen this before. He had seen something similar with bullet fragments that had been left in the body.

The biopsy was negative for cancer but positive for titanium clips!

I think I've seen a few women on here who had biopsy markers migrate up to under their skin.

One day years ago at work the woman I worked for kept messing with the base of her neck that was itching/irritated. She asked me to look at it to see what it was. There was a piece of wire sticking out of her skin. I asked her if she wanted me to go ahead and pull it out. She said "No! It might still be attached to something!" We laughed about it for years. Her doctor did pull the suture material from a years prior surgery out...
