How many reconstructive surgeries have you had?

initial diagnosis DCIS 3/6/17, BMX with immediate direct implants on 3/31/17. Minimal fat grafting from the thighs to the breast (just to smooth it out) done on 9/24/17. I still have a small area that has minimal rippling. PS said I could have an additional surgery with additional fat grafting from another area to the breast. But is it worth going under the knife again? I did well with anesthesia and with recovery the past two times, .. but a third surgery? Isn’t it worth it? How many surgeries had you had?

What’s your thoughts on a second fat grafting?

I am literally in post op, waiting to go home after surgery #4 in 16 months. Hopefully this is the LAST one! Anesthesia just fine. This one is more painful so far. Pocket work, skin work and fat grafting. If this one works out, it will be totally worth it

I had a second fat grafting. Easy surgery and it took care of all of the defects.

Oh, and I had a total of 4 breast surgeries spanning 20 months.

three fat grafting sessions here! In the end .worth it because I looked better each time...tough duty wearing spanx and a compression bra post surgery in Houston's heat!

thank you ladies!!! I think I am going to go for it. And I agree, being in spanx in the heat of the southern summer is not appealing, but I guess it’s worth it!

one other question... this seems like a really stupid question, considering I’ve had fat grafting before. BUT, does the fat grafting make the fat from the donor site grow back?
