Explantation questions

Ten years ago I had a unilateral nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction and augmentation of the native side. I had very small breasts and could have easily gone flat on the right and almost matched the native left breast. But I opted for a reconstruction and going larger than was my natural state. Now with the recall on implants (both of mine are on the list) wanted to know if anyone has had both implants removed without replacement in a unilateral MX?

How is symmetry handled when implants are different sizes due to different size breast tissue? If it turned out I needed to have explantation, I would go flat but I'd want to be symmetrical.

I’m in a similar situation. Luckily my implants are not recalled but still 11 yo. I would prefer not to have implants but dont want to be flat. Diep surgery is intense and I probably would need an implant on the native side to have symmetry.
