Ugh.... tooth abscess????

Hello!

I haven’t posted here in a while. I was diagnosed last August with Breast cancer. ( it started out as invasive ducal carcinoma and DCIS) since then i’ve Had 8 rounds of chemo, a double mastectomy, 33 treatments of radiation, and i’m having my tissue expanders switched out for implants on November 6 of this year. ANYWAY, I post this to say that the worst pain I had during chemo was jaw pain ( or so I thought) I held off of going to the dentist for the last year because of everything going on. Yesterday when I went to the dentist for the first time since, I was told I have an absessed tooth! I will have to have it extracted, a bone graft, and an implant! Ugh! I feel really dumb for thinking it was just jaw pain! Has this happened to anyone else? I keep trying to think of reasons why this happened.... does chemo do a number on your teeth? I can’t believe this.....
