Good Evening,

Thanks for allowing me to join. I’ve read these posts for info the last few years but just wanted to reach out for thoughts and support😍. I’ve had 6 month US and mammograms the past two years and one biopsy with negative results. Always a BiRads 3 . Developed large painful lump at 10:00 which looked b9. The US showed a 6mm intraductal mass Hypoechoic that “ looks like a papilloma and appears malignant.” BiRads 4. Today they aspirated the cyst and began a FNA of the smaller mass. They were unable and switched to a core biopsy (which was not the most pleasant thing) and took about 8 samples. Results due next week. I’ve read the studies about excising all intraductal masses due to false negatives and increase of chance of cancer later, but the studies were quite small. Just wondering if any of you have opinions or advice? I do know that if it is malignant the prognosis is good. TIA for any info!

Becky
