I was recommended to have a “Subareolar Ductal Resection”. Does anyone know exactly how this procedure goes or anything. I have tried looking it up, just so I can see the process or maybe even a video of it. But nothing comes up for what I look up.

Excision and resection are essentially the same thing--surgical removal of something.

okay. I’m not sure if they are removing the entire Ductal system or what. I have a small intraductal Papilloma directly under my nipple. Actually feels like it’s in my nipple. was 1 cm but of course is smaller now since I had a biopsy done (maybe the size of a green pea now)
