Hi. I am starting starting this new topic called MEDICAL RECORDS because I had requested a copy of my medical records from my hospital for a non breast cancer related reason... they sent me all of my records. when I looked at my pathology report from the medical record department it contained a few different things in it compared to the pathology report in my patient portal (which was the same as what my surgeon gave me). It was much more detailed and showed that along with idc and dcis they also found large areas of lcis!! I wonder how many of you folks on this website have experienced these discrepancies in their reports. Thank you.

Did you bring this up with your doctor? Kind of makes you wonder if one report is in error.

thanks for responding meow. no I didn't bring it up with my doc because she just retired and I had to see a new one. from what I understand if there is an “accession" number on a report then that is the full and complete one . I checked my patient portal report and there is no accession number on it though both have the correct patient medical records number
