Some advice about Alkaline Water

Hi all.

Does anyone drink Alkaline Water? I know the positives..but reference the negative I read this:

Drinking water with a balanced pH is necessary. If the water is too acidic or too alkaline, it can potentially have a negative effect on your health.

Your body isn't designed to drink alkaline water alone. If you drink too much, it can disrupt the acid production in your stomach. This can result in indigestion or stomach ulcers.

Other risks include vulnerability to bacterial overgrowth and other germs causing infection in your small intestine. Your body may also have difficulty digesting and absorbing nutrients.

For those that do drink it what brand do you drink? I was told that if a person has never drank it to start out by having 3 -4 8oz glasses a day then increase to 8 -12?

I also wonder if anyone uses the drops that you add to your water to make it alkaline? If so how do you like them and what kind do you get?

Last but not least what is the :"good" number of alkaline 8.8? or higher? Based on the "negative" above I was thinking that something in the 8.1-8.8 range would probably be good??
