Begin Taxol while receiving IV antibiotic treatment?

Has anyone tried this before?
I had an infection and is currently staying in a rehab and receiving IV antibiotic 4 times a day for two weeks.
I finished my AC 4 weeks ago and my oncologist wanted me to begin Taxol while I am still receiving IV antibiotic. I am a bit nervous as one doctor in the hospital told me "no one will give you chemo while you are still receiving antibiotic." My oncologist's reasoning is that Taxol won't affect my immune system. But has anyone tried this before?
