Breast reconstruction at Trillium???

I had my Lumpectomy in June, healing going well but I had unclear margins. I'm now considering a mastectomy but want to get opinions from any one who had reconstruction at Trillium or CVH. I have researched Trillium's website but couldn't find any information about a breast reconstruction team. So I wonder how many they actually perform.

Any one with reconstruction experience at any of the Trillium Hospitals? Thanks for any info you can share.

Deb, the fact that their website doesn't include any mention of a breast reconstruction team is not a good sign.

I did some googling and found a PDF from 2016 for a job opening for a PS specializing in breast reconstruction. I don't know if they ever found/hired anyone.

When I was diagnosed in 2005, my BS was at Trillium. I loved him, but at the time they didn't have the ability to do an SNB and the PS that they were assigning me to, although the head of Plastic Surgery at Trillium, was a general PS who did absolutely everything in addition to breast reconstruction. That wasn't for me, so I scooted over to PMH for a second opinion, and then stayed there, largely because I was able to get a PS who specialized in breast reconstruction.

Hopefully someone comes along with more information and a good experience at Trillium with reconstruction.
