DIEP- Compression v none

Anyone know why some doctors want you in compression garments and why others don’t? Pro’s and Cons? Of course I’m doing what my PC ordered which is no bras and everything open to air. Currently healing well after DIEP. So I of course bought front closure bras prior and was already to wear them 24/7. My doc wants nothing interfering with my incisions. No bras, no compression wraps, zero. Curious why the two philosophies? Now I had liquid incisions. Not sure if that makes a difference. Some people have tape and bandages on? Some also using scar tape within first few weeks. If I put in on over glue it’s certainly not going to do anything for me now. Thanks!

not sure why there is a difference of opinion. I was toldno bra but wore a stomach binder for two weeks during the day. I was told not to wear it at night so it would not creep up and rub on the DIEP breast. I know some women had no binder. I had no issues so I assume my PS knows what is best.

I didn't have any compression for the DIEP but I did for the 2nd fat transfer surgery from my thighs.
