Reoccuring itch and small scab along with swelling and pain

I noticed a small spot (like a bug bite) that itched six or so months ago that would scab up , go away and then come back. Along with that now my breast is swollen and I am also feeling pain with any movement (such as leaning forward or side to side) along with hugs. I have no "orange peel" look, but now my arm pit area on the same side is swollen also. I am having a diagnostic mammogram on Monday and wondered, do I need sonething more?

Sherry1ou, we hope that everything goes well with your diagnostic mammomgram, and the doctor can give you some understanding of what's going on, and what to do. As Melissa says, probably best to wait for their recommendations. Keep us posted.

If the mammo is clear, have a dermatologist check the scab. It sounds similar in symptoms to something I had on my nose, it was treated by removing the whole spot in the doctor's office.
