so last biopsy go around the doc didn’t think I needed a biopsy that was ordered on the left breast. So she wanted to take a wait and see approach and at the 6 month mark do another mammogram on the left. I got a letter later from the breast care center asking when I where I got the biopsy done. I then called to get my mammogram scheduled for the end of summer. After talking to the scheduler she said she needed to check something and call me back. She called me back and stated that I have to have another diagnostic mammogram on both breasts and an ultrasound on the left. I’m not going to be surprised if I still end up getting the biopsy on the mass on the left. So now I have to get my doc to submit new order so for the mammogram they want me to have. Just to go through this process again is so frustrating

I’m so sorry you have to go through this. The whole process can be so frustrating. I experienced a similar situation when I had my first u/s done. My obgyn noted that everything looked normal but when you opened the report it said I needed a follow up target u/s. When I called the office they were so confused. It can be hard being your own advocate. Hopefully you are in good hands now

Thanks so much. It’s just expensive to keep going through this. My last biopsy ended up costing me almost 700.00 out of pocket. And though I am thankful for the care and thankful that I have access to it, I wish I hadn’t of let the doc talk me out the biopsy last time. Hopefully everything looks benign again
