Sex is painful on tamoxifen

I’m 31F Her2+ Est+ Proj- IDC Stage 2 on Tamoxifen. Chemo and rads are all done.

Penis in vagina sex is painful. My vagina is tighter than it used to be and more dry. And I feel like the walls of my vagina get pulled as my boyfriend thrusts. I’ve tried astroglide, lubricanted condoms, and Replens. I can only go for a little bit before it is unbearable. I recently got a dildo so I could practice different positions on my own and started bleeding from the penetration.

I got a biopsy recently. Some cysts but nothing cancerous.

Is there anything else I can do or should I just give up on penis in vagina sex altogether? My bf and I have tried oral and hand jobs instead, but it’s hard for him to cum without the vaginal intercourse. And he doesn’t like anal

Can you ask your doc for a referral to a sexual health doc who specializes in cancer thrivers? There is such a department at the major university hospital where I had my treatments.

Your OBGYN might also be able to give you a prescription for a topical estrogen if your MO okays it. I believe that the estrogenic impact is minimal as it would be localized.
