I had a mammogram/ultrasound and then biopsy 6 months ago (with 2 markers left in). These were for suspicious fine pleomorphic calcifications and the words possibly DCIS were discussed. The biopsy was benign (but I do have to say the radiologists needle kept getting stuck and he had to go in close to 25 times...)

I had my 6 month follow up mammogram last week and had a call from the radiologist dept. within 2 days to schedule another mammogram and ultrasound this week. The specialist office then called and said we had to schedule another appointment - end of July was all they had, but this would depend on my results this week if I might need an emergency appointment.

What are the statistics of a false negative biopsy? Should I be freaking out? Do you have any helpful articles you can point me to?
