Can this really be finally over?!

Radiation ended with April and after some healing time I hoped I could be on my way to getting my life back. Mentally, I was doing pretty good. Physically, well... I have a long road ahead of me. Then 3 weeks ago the headaches started, then the body aches, then the cramps. Finally, my breast began to feel larger, warmer, firmer, and painful. I am too nervous to self exam but feel like something is definitely going on. Doc ordered antibiotics (cellulitis?) but I find myself still nervous. Ugh! Additionally, I thought I had possibly started my period yesterday after 238 days without. Turns out it was a solo occurrence of very light blood tinge color mucus which my OBGYN is calling a pregnancy test on (mind you, I had a tubal ligation 4 years ago).

BFitz, I hope it is over for you. What is over? Over meaning you have no cancer? or Over that you are able to move on from this?

Let us know what the doctors say. Breast pain could mean different things. If you have implants, could it be the begining of breast encapsulation or an infection? Could you be formally entering into menopause?

Doctor's prescribed antibiotics assuming cellulitis but not 100% sure. Most of the pain has left, which is good, but the breast s still much larger than the other and very firm. The nipple is firm and lumpy and the whole thing just looks and feels weird. Have a followup tomorrow so will hopefully get a scan.

Meanwhile, my period came and has stayed for 8 days now. VERY heavy for several days. More than ever! Now just lingering. Is that normal? No one seems to have an answer to that question.
