What is surgery recovery like after radiation?

Hello,

Hoping to get some input on what your recovery and wound healing was like if you had a breast surgery after radiation. I know that delayed wound healing can happen with irradiated tissue...(I guess what I'm mostly hoping to hear about are some examples of uncomplicated healing in this situation!) I have an upcoming surgery, relatively minor (explant,) and I'm wondering what to anticipate, as well as if there are any tips to support good healing in the area. Going to try to optimize nutrition and rest...I know some elements will just be beyond my control, but I'm really hoping it can go pretty smoothly.
