Hello All,

I'm new to this forum, and looking for some info. I am currently on Herceptin and Tykerb for Stage 4 Triple Positive MBC. Results are mixed - mets to brain and had 2 Gamma Knife treatments in past 6 weeks. My oncologist wants to add another agent, Navalbine (vinorelbine) to the mix. Our insurance company denied the request, as there is nothing in the literature speaking to the efficacy of this combo. We have searched PubMed and other online resources and spoken with the manufacturers of all three drugs. Nobody seems to have any data on this combo.

I am hoping that someone in this community has had this combo previously and can help connect us to your oncologist in order to get some evidence of efficacy.

Thanks in advance!

Hi SoCalMom33. I was wondering if you and/or your MO ever found any support for or further information on this combination? Unfortunately, I can't help you on it as it is not a combination that I'm familiar with. I hope you don't mind me asking, what is your MO's rationale as to why he/she thinks that this combination would be beneficial for you? Also, as you mentioned that you have mets to the brain, perhaps if you post this question on the brain mets thread you will receive some response.

Edit: as I've been reading through older topics and getting caught up on my reading here, I noticed that there is an existing thread for Navelbine. It's not super active but maybe someone there has been on your combo.
