(Philadelphia) Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia will NOT remove a healthy breast unless you are positive for BRCA gene. (2019) Even then, I am not 100% sure they will remove a breast prophylatically, so if you are considering being treated at this facility, you should ask this question before making an appointment.

I wish I had known this prior to going there.  I believe other hospitals have policies that could help members here make choices that best fit them and expedite their treatment.  I hope this thread to helps spread the word. 

Also, at Fox Chase, you might see a NP or PA even though your appointment is with a doctor.
