Eye sight

Hello ladies!! While going through Taxol treatment I noticed my eyesight was off. I already have glasses/ contacts due to being near sighted abs have started using readers. But since stopping chemo, last session was on May 2nd, its getting worse!! I will wear my contacts and my readers at the same time to see the best everywhere, not just up close.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if it resolves itself, like most of the other SEs, or if it was/ is permanent?

Thank you and hope all you ladies continue to kick butt!!

    Hi Penelope,

Read this, it covers chemotherapy and hormonal therapy. I had to quit my letrozole because of worsening eyesight.

Oh, my opthamologist recommends Muro or it’s generic is cheaper for dry eye. OTC, best prices at Amazon.

    Thanks marijen for the link.

Have been experiencing double vision since beginning of chemotherapy. It’s increasingly worsen since Taxol. 25 days PFC and still double vision. Just began tamoxifen this week. Nurse specialist recommended seeing ophthalmologist for a check up. Even when chemo ends, SE’s continue to add up.

Speaking of tamoxifen, anyone experiencing other bothersome SE’s?

You’re welcome Angieln. Definitely get a good Opthamologist. I havean array of problems although now my eyesight is pretty clear. As for Tamoxifen aide effects there are threads all over the place. I am dumbfounded by the willingness to suffer from them. Bottle o’ tamoxife is a very active thread.

Marijen- thank you for the link. I have not started any anti-hormone therapies. I will definitely keep this information in mind if it worsens once starting it though.

I hope everyone is doing good!!
