1st Mammo 1 year after diagnosis- jitters

    Just had my one year mammo. I almost lost it sitting and waiting for results. Thank God all is well. I am now one year out and feeling good. I think I will feel better when I have another year or two over. Good luck and try not to stress! Easier said than done!

    I also freak out before my mammograms, I've just had too much cancer in my life.

    So I take direct action. I bring a single serving bottle of wine with me and drink it in the parking lot, just before going in. I'm sure they think I'm a lush, but I really don't care.

    Taking off my bra and prosthesis is still the hardest part. Once I've done that, I can usually get into the gown without crying. Hope this helps, and best to you.
