Hello,

I'm 34 years old and saw my GP about 6 months ago as I had a few small red marks appear on one breast. They would come and stay for a few weeks then disappear. They weren't itchy, I only knew they were there because I saw them. After it happened for a third time in 6 months in a similar area, I saw my GP. I mentioned IBC straight away and he suggested a punch biposy to alleviate my worry. The biopsy didn't find anything noteworthy. Since the biopsy, I have had these small red marks appear twice more always on the same breast and today one on the other breast. I haven't had any other classic symptoms until recently when I started to have very itchy armpits.

Should I seek a second opinion?

Thanks

What you describe sounds nothing like IBC. IBC doesn't come and go over a period of months; it develops and spreads quickly over a matter of days. IBC doesn't move from one breast to the other and rarely is bilateral.

Sounds like you have a minor skin rash. See a dermatologist if it bothers you.
