I’m 38 and I had a biopsy done on my lymph nodes a week and a half ago and still no results. Radiology called lab two days ago and they were told they were running more tests on them. Is that a bad sign I’m so stressed I can’t eat or sleep.

We'll need a little history to answer your question. Can you post your most recent mammo and US reports along with the report of the biopsy procedure?

I had breast augmentation in November 2016 and soon after started having issues with my left breast. I found a lump but waited a long while to get it checked. I then had a mammo, US and a needle biopsy of the mass and results came back saying it was a seroma, this was back in October of 2018. Last week I saw a plastic surgeon to see about getting the mass and implants removed and he totally freaked me out saying that he didn't like the way that the mass looked and felt. I then went back to the radiologist that did my biopsy and he went ahead and did the lymph node biopsy last Wednesday the 22nd of May. I do have a strong family history. My maternal grandmother was diagnosed at 49 and died at 51.

So an abnormal lymph node without a mass in the breast? Is there an US report describing the size and appearance of the lymph node? Would be odd to have an abnormal lymph node related to breast cancer without a breast cancer already diagnosed. The node may just be reactive and related to your surgery. Let us know what the biopsy shows.

    Hi Jvt,

I totally understand how you feel.I had mammogram followed by an ultrasound. They are looking at a lymph node but not sure if biopsy is required at this point. I have no mass no history of BC. So I was sent to a breast centre for another ultrasound. That's in two weeks from now and I cannot function. My mind goes to the worst and I don't know what to do. I hope you get good results. How was the biopsy procedure? I'm scared to do a biopsy but I'll see first what they decide first
