I'm in the middle of workup for dx of lump in right breast under my nipple - 1cm - birads 4 - yadda yadda. Lump is "not amenable" to FNB so have to have excisional bx. Fine. Appointment with oncological breast surgeon Friday - thank God, I want to get this "not knowing" phase behind me.

So, the other day I posted about how the areola on same breast as lump - has almost doubled in size. It looks like someone physically stretched the skin out. It is now twice as big as my left breast areola. WTAF. (No answers on my post so thought I'd mention it again).

Of course that kind of shook me up, so I've been feeling around the area a bit more, and last night felt ANOTHER lump - very close to the original one. The original one is right underneath my nipple, about 1cm (feels bigger than that to me, but we'll see soon enough). The one I found last night was absolutely NOT there when I had my dx mammo/ultrasound. It's smaller than the one under my nipple, maybe half the size - it's very firm, does not hurt, and is under the areola area just to the right of the one under my nipple (they *feel* like two separate lumps).

I'm thankful I'm seeing the breast onc surgeon Friday morning, but in the meantime - can anyone here help ease my mind? Would this kind of thing be more like a "benign process" since the 2nd lump seemed to pop up out of nowhere?

Please, if anyone has had this kind off experience, I'd be grateful for any insight.
