Thank you for sharing with me. I got this three weeks ago and my breast is still red, and sensitive, They are treating me with large doses of prednisone after 10 days of antibiotics. How long did it take to clear and how long after your radiation was compleed did you get it.. Thanks so much. Judy

Thank you so much for writing. I agree, they don't know long term effects of a lot of this disease, probably because of so many new treatments. I'm on 60 mg. of prednisone down to 20 in 21 days, crazy. its been three weeks and its still red and hot. They did a punch biopsy and it was negative. My oncologist said she will do mammo, MRI and anothe biopsy if it doesnt clear up. Thank you for all your ideas, I will mention each one. It feels so much better to find someone who has experienced this. Have a great day!!

My daughter finished radiation in last fall, started her tamoxifen about 6 weeks ago - and it looks like she may have radiation recall. Her PS was treating her for cellulitis, but the RO said she had only seen a rash like hers when people had radiation recall while getting chemo after rads. I did some internet searches and found that tamoxifen is listed as one of the drugs that can cause it. She's asked me to see what I can find out about it - so if anyone has more info on this, please let me know. I would appreciate you PM'ing me.

    Thanks
