Report results what does this mean

I’ve had a pain and itchy for two months.my mammo and ultrasounds was negative. Then my dr send me for breast mri cause my symptoms are not getting better. Here is my results impressions: Markedly limited study for detection of small enhancing lesions secondary to extensive
background enhancement. However, no gross evidence for suspicious enhancing lesion.
Clinical follow-up is recommended.

When they scheduled your MRI did they ask you if you are still cycling and if so did they ask your LMP? In order to keep background enhancement to a minimum the exam must be scheduled during the part of your cycle with the least hormonal stimulation of the breast tissue. If you have had a hysterectomy but still have at least one ovary your progesterone levels could be monitored via blood tests and the MRI scheduled accordingly.

If they didn't schedule this way, perhaps they could repeat the scan with the above timing.

Yes they did ask and it was at least a week. Which they recommended.
