Ok. I’m just going to ask it. I know this might upset or offend some because our lives are most important!! I whole-heartedly agree.. I am so grateful that chemotherapy is available and able to save my life. With that being said, I come from a family with terrible skin. We age prematurely and wrinkle at a young age. I’m thirty years old and already have terrible skin. I have never used botox and was planning on embracing my skin prior to well, cancer.

Now I’m reading about all of these women with crepe papery thin skin and premature aging from chemo and I’m freaked out. Is it safe for me to go get Botox 3 weeks before treatment? What about after treatment when I’m using tamoxifen? I know the answer is “ask your oncologist” but I’d love to hear from some ladies who have been through this!

Well the AI drugs I took seemed to age my skin. I was never impressed with before and after pictures with botox treatments. Looks like not enough of an improvement for the effort. I still care a great deal about my appearance looking into possible cosmetic surgery on my face and neck.

I went about a month before I started AC treatment (a few days before my BMX 7/18/18) and had no problem with it. I found that with all the steroids during chemo my skin was even smoother than before. So far, so good post treatment. I haven't even had to go back for more Botox yet. Good luck

I got botox a week before my first cycle and expect it to last through the rest of the rounds. It usually lasts between 3-6 months for me. I can't get it during chemo because even a bug bite gets infected on me these days.
