Hi everyone,

I feel like I just need to write this down in a place where people are likely to understand. I’m 23 and last year, in June, I had an excision biopsy of three lumps in my right breast (one was 5cm, one was 3cm and I’m unsure of the size of the third). These were confirmed as fibroadenomas and I have multiple others in both breasts. That healed fine and now doesn’t bother me.

Fast forward to last week, I had an appointment at the breast clinic for 2 lumps in my left breast - which I thought were existing fibroadenomas that had grown. They’d both grown pretty quickly, I think maybe within a few months? Anyway, so I had an ultrasound that confirmed they were indeed fibroadenomas but they were brand new - they weren’t there on my previous ultrasound and they’re both now 3cm. My consultant decided it would be best to have them out as they’d grown so quickly, so would probably continue to grow. So that’ll be my second operation in less than a year arghh. I guess I’m just writing this because I feel so frustrated with the whole situation!!

I mean, if these two were new then are they ever going to stop appearing?? And will they always grow so big? How many more times will I have to have surgery ThumbsDown I know nobody can really answer these questions, I think I just needed to vent somewhere and see if anyone has had similar experiences.

Sorry for such the long post
