Fulvestrant and Starting Verzenio

Options

Hello, I am new to this group.

Diagnosed back in 2012 with Lobular Carsonmia. Bone nets 2014. Had chemo, hormone therapy. April 2018 they found Mets to my abdomen lining. Was given 19 rounds of Halevin. Than scan showed progression in my abdomen lining. (Very disappointed and sad)

Started Fulvestrant injections in March 2019. Injections were working very well my Tumor Markers dropped over 100 points. However I developed Ascites fluid in my abdomen and the pathology came back with a few cells in the fluid.

Starting Verzenio today.

Anyone else taking this treatment? Can anyone share their results.

Thank you for sharing your information with me.

Yes, I've been on both of these plus Zometa for bone mets the past several months. You can find active threads on all these topics in addition to peritoneal carcinomatosis if you scroll down to the Stage IV Metastatic forum. Lots of good info and sharing of experiences. You might want to update your history before posting there.

I required a Verzenio dose reduction to 100mg twice a day after a couple weeks now managing the bowel side effects with two FiberCon tablets daily. Loperamide was not tolerable when I tried it for the diarrhea - it worked too well, causing abdominal cramps, etc. Recent PET/CT scans show improvement with tumor marker reduction also.

Thank you for the information. I join the group yesterday so I am trying to figure out how the posting works and how to update all my treatments.

I also receive Zometa for my bone Mets.

How long have you been receiving this treatment
