Anyone have a uniboob and does Not wear prosthetic?
Hi all, I'm new here,
I had a single full mastectomy almost 2 yrs ago. When I go out or when I want to wear a nice bra, I wear a knitted knocker, which is so light and comfy.
The position I'm in now is,I chose Not to do recon, but I struggle with clothes, bras etc. I'm guessing if I wasnt uniboob self conscious, I obviously wouldnt care, but I dont even like to wear prosthetic. I'm looking into gorgeous tattoo, and not hiding prosthetic cleavage hide, and just be free. Any advice? Any of you choose tattoo or no prosthetic?
Thanks, I so look forward to being here!

Hi -
I had a mastectomy on left, still have right one. This was pretty recent, 4 months ago. In the middle of chemo now. I chose no reconstruction. For me, the less trauma on the body the better. I am totally fine with my body. I do not wear a prosthetic, although I might if need be maybe for a certain dress or whatever but so far I’m good being who I am now & I go with what is. I found a sports bra that has supportive cups with a zipper in the front. Zip it up & I’m good to go or I just wear a camisole.
Hope this helps

I am just too busy right now starting chemo and healing from my mastectomy, but I might get reconstruction in the future. It's not a priority for me because I don't miss my left breast. I had small breasts to start with, and I don't think anyone notices that I now only have one. I usually go bra-less and tape down the one nipple I have. I just got a very smooth, lightly-padded bralette from Victoria's Secret so that I didn't have to tape down my nipple any more, and also so my mastectomy side would be filled out a little by the padding, but I misplaced the bra.

Thanks for your response. I had 4 rounds Taxol and that was an adventure, still dealing with neuropathy, I start CMF next Wednesday and am terrified, I had one A/C and ended up in hospital, couldn’t tolerate it. I am constantly trying to lift myself up & be positive but it’s hard to do sometimes. I don’t mind the uni boob situation, I can deal with that just fine but the upcoming chemo.....wish I felt more confident.
Hope you’re doing well today-
