BC and lymphoma

Options

Having an ebus biopsy on Friday. Had a ct-chest in Nov, Feb & last Friday. Nov & Feb showed 2 mediastinal nodes - 4 & 5 mm. Now, they are 8mm and 1.2 cm. Several other nodes at different locations are enlarged as well and this is new. MO thinks could be lymphoma, mbc or both as the most probable. Not happy, but ready for another fight. I've had thyroid cancer with 3 surgeries to remove positive nodes and a stage 2 melanoma, but all 2001 or prior. 2017 - bc both breast, multicentric with 3/23 positive nodes on right side - took so many as one was extracapsular.

Any thoughts, suggestions on where to go from here? Those of you with lymphoma - did you have symptoms? I've run a low grade fever <100 off and on since I had bc, I have hot flashes & chills but I'm on anastrozole.

Thanks,

Karen

I’m just curious- what did it end up being? I also have it in my mediastinal nodes.

Karen, in 2004, exactly a year from my diagnosis of IDC, my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. She lived outside Houston. I don’t remember the details but they did things a little different and they did a sentinel node biopsy before the breast surgery, and removed 4 nodes. One was positive for breast cancer, but they were all positive for lymphoma. I remember her only symptom was extreme fatigue.

She had a very rough time, went to MDAnderson. They were great to her. She finally was in remission when she was diagnosed with MDS. She passes away a little over seven years after her original diagnosis at age 6. Not a day goes by without thinking of her.
