Work and wearing a head cover
I sadly have peach fuzz right now and I am comfortable not wearing a hat or scarf out in public... mostly, but I can't get to the point of not wearing a covering to work. Do any of you ladies have this issue?? Im not sure what my block is about it.
Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. And those who don't wear coverings how do you deal with the looks and comments, so many people stare at me when I'm out and about and one of these times I swear im going to tell someone to take a picture as it lasts longer.
Thanks for the help!!

Hi. Also have peach fuzz, but very thin. I am keeping my hats on for now. I figure I'll know when the time is right. Don't rush yourself. You'll know too.

I did all baseball caps. Didn’t look too weird and not that obvious that there wasn't much underneath. I stopped wearing them about 12 weeks PFC. A little sooner than I’d planned but I was going to a business meeting and knew it would be all adults and they could handle it. I just put my big girl parties on and walked into rooms proudly.

I just started back to work in the office a few hours this week, I had been working from home before. I wear a wig for now, I am not sure what length of hair will make me comfortable at work with out it. I work at a school and the kids and then parents I figured it would be a lot less distraction to wear the wig. I figure hopefully by the time school starts next August I will have a comfortable length to go without the wig. Even tonight is my daughters Senior awards night and though I would be comfortable with just my hat, I figure it would less of a distraction with the wig. Don't want to have all those conversations with those that don't know me personally and take away from all the kids acheivements.

For the most part I wore hats both times (MI winters), but the moment spring came I went “topless" - no hats, scarves or wigs, in public or at work. Most people didn't stare, a few asked questions (including one little boy who happily asked his mom where all my hair went! It was adorable). The first time around I worked in a university setting in the school of social work and no one batted an eye. Second time around I worked in a different environment for directors. Most didn't say much but I did turn heads a couple of times (once incredibly and awkwardly obvious). Somehow my baldness made me feel more confident, if not a tad bit obvious, but I never minded much. I liked feeling powerful

I continue to wear a wig at work, and don't have the guts to go without. I don't intend to go without a head covering until my hair is at least a couple of inches from my head. I think it is your preference, and if you don't feel comfortable then don't push yourself. I am in the middle of chemo still, so who knows if I change my mind.

NsncyHB-social workers are great for not batting an eye, no matter what their inside voice is saying! Gotta love them for that.
As to work and head coverings, I worked and wore scarves the whole way through chemo. As my hair started coming back in, I would let the scarf ride a little higher to show off my fresh bangs (all 0.25” of bangs!). Once I had about 0.5-0.75” of hair, I ditched the scarves and went topless. I did keep a hat in my drawer because it gets cold with very short hair

I admire any woman who goes out in public bald.
I didn’t really have the wherewithal to go bald in public. At home either. But I like to be warm, and it is cold with no hair

I’m not brave enough to go bald in public, but love it at home. I have a wig for more formal settings and just got a straw hat that I can wear. For shopping, I’m comfortable in baseball hats or beanies. I’m in the middle of my chemo treatments. Hot Sacramento weather is coming, so I hope to get more comfortable with peach fuzz

DebraC-I'm in Sacramento too. I am not looking forward to the dry summer heat either, especially with these hot flashes!
