Does going flat makes mastectomy site more tender?

BF had mastectomy with thin skin so will site be tender forever since there is little fat and just skin ? Thanks

I didn't have reconstruction so my experience may be different, but my ribs are pretty prominent right under my skin -- not alot of fat pads there - and I don't have any tenderness in that area. I hope the same for you.

I don't know that tenderness is the right word, but there is almost no fat there. I massage the scar regularly to keep it from getting tight.

I went flat in Nov 2018 and it is not tender at all. Just keep the area stretched for scar tissue.
