Do you taper off tamoxifen once you've finished?

Just wondering what's going to happen once I finish taking tamoxifen after 5 (or 10) years. Do you just stop suddenly or taper off it slowly? Thanks!

I stopped cold turkey a couple times as I tried out AIs. I had no side effects stopping that way.

I took Tamoxifen for 5 years - without skipping a dose - and stopped overnight. No problems to report.
