At end of tamox, how did your onc advise stopping?

Hi All, I'm going to be done with tamoxifen in less that a year, and I was wondering how your oncologist advised you to end it when you're done. Do you just stop taking it after taking it every day, or do you taper off, like taking it every other day, or taking a half dose for a while? Thanks for telling me the advice you got!
