Multiple cysts and dense tissue

I had my follow up US yesterday. This was recommended because my tissue is so dense. I had one last year with a diagnostic mammogram which all lead to a biopsy for calcifications which turned out benign. The radiologist told me I have 152 (!) cysts in my breasts. Wow. Because I have so many there’s a certain one that might have been missed last year but they want to “watch and wait” and check it again in 6 months She also said if I need peace of mind they would go ahead with a biopsy She said the “new guy” doesn’t look particularly troublesome or she would have ordered a biopsy right away (like last year with the calcifications)

I feel like I would rather have the biopsy than have this in the back of my mind for the next 6 months. But with so many cysts to deal with, this will surely not be the last finding.

    Hi

I totally understand what you are going through. I had my first set of biopsies 8 years ago. In the last 3 years I have had between 6-8 biopsies each year plus ultrasounds and mammograms every year. I couldn't possibly wait 6 months. In fact I collapsed with the stress at the last round and ended up in hospital after a panic attack.

    I'm know I can't keep doing this.

You sound so much stronger than me.
