Hello friends,

I am a 9-year TNBC breast cancer survivor and have been an oncology writer/researcher for ASCO and ACCC for a number of years. I am offering a new service as a cancer survivorship mentor to assist patients who are newly diagnosed or in the early stages of treatment for breast cancer as an independent lay patient navigator. I created this out of my own frustration, and the struggle I've seen others face, around accessing resources and information that is valuable, personalized, and not diluted or watered-down information essentially, upon receiving a breast cancer diagnosis. (Unless you spend hours and hours researching, which we don't always have the luxury of doing.) I'm humbly asking if this is something that you would find valuable, useful, or helpful, or any other feedback around it even being worrisome or anything else that might be appropriate. My website is writeramy.com/cancer-survivorship-mentoring, and I also created a free video on "6 Crucial Life-Saving Tips for Surviving Cancer" that is based on my own story and experience. I'm sorry in advance if this comes across as promotional in any way at all. I genuinely am hoping to address an unmet meet and help people get much-needed clarity during this stage, in particular, of cancer care. Love and strength to all. --Amy [This is a link to the "tips" video, which i hope is okay to post here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4iC-bONdto&t=3s]

I totally needed a navigator! I'm not in active tx now, but there were things missed by my oncologist and surgeon that would have made this so much easier on me.
